DHP Presents:
ROSELLAS
Rosellas are a five-piece band united by "a passion for wanting real music to be heard again". Drawing inspiration from The War on Drugs, The Verve and Pink Floyd, their sound blends the spirit of Manchester’s indie legacy with expansive, atmospheric psychedelia.
2023 marked a breakout year for the band. They performed at the Etihad Stadium’s ‘City Square Live’, playing to thousands ahead of a major fixture, and embarked on a headline tour that saw them sell out shows across Southampton, Newcastle, Leeds, Edinburgh and Manchester Academy 3. Demand continued to build, culminating in their biggest hometown show to date at Band on the Wall, where they played to over 500 people.
That same year, their EP Somewhere Inbetween reached #1 on the iTunes album chart, followed by single The Same Curse, which climbed to #2 - held off the top spot only by The Beatles’ Now & Then. The band also received consistent support from key tastemakers including John Kennedy and Jim Salveson, alongside airplay on BBC Introducing Manchester.
Rosellas have built a strong live reputation, supporting acts such as Starsailor, James, The Slow Readers Club, Andrew Cushin, Red Rum Club and The K's. They have also become a regular presence on the UK festival circuit, headlining stages at Y Not? and Isle of Wight, and appearing on major line-ups including Truck Festival, Liverpool Sound City and Neighbourhood Festival.
