See event details

A gig held at The Croft on Thursday 26th March. The event starts at 19:15.

Varicosa shook Penryn, Plymouth and Bristol with the amazing Blondine and Call of the Void this January... now we're back at The Croft with a whole new roster of fierce and heavy partners in crime to warp the southwest on its head and introduce our favourite venues to some incredible genre-smashing bands! Celebrating the upcoming release of their album 'Always Blue', House of Dirt are a British 3 piece band whose sound pulls from all areas of the cultural underbelly of London. Once described as 'Grime Against The Machine', this combination of electronic music, rock and everything in between culminates in this new age of musical revolt. Their influences include musicians such as Enter Shikari, Twenty One Pilots, Reeps One, Pengshui, Astroid Boys and Rage Against The Machine to name a few. Also promoting brand new music, Alex Parsi is an Icelandic-Persian singer, songwriter and producer. His music is infused with powerful creative inputs from eclectic backgrounds. The resulting sound is a concoction of Alternative Rock and Indie-Folk, transforming into a full-band experience for this tour, with an exclusive seven-piece spectacular just for Bristol! Rounding off our VERMIN era, Varicosa are rebellious, queer neurospicy seaslug punks who have risen from the ocean deep to launch a coral-covered fist into the gut of the patriarchy. Representing the trans, feminist and genderfluid communities, we mix thrashy punk with dark heavy tones, prog, experimental brass and synth. Named after the nudibranch Phyllidia Varicosa, we embody transformation, equality and resilience. Last but never least, Antivrus are a four piece Plymouth-based melodic metalcore band. We formed a year and a half ago and in that time have established a nostalgic but distinct sound captured in our upcoming eight-track debut EP “Games of Aorta”. Our influences include Slipknot, Korn, Killswitch Engage, Children of Bodom, Atreyu, BFMV. We’ve taken these staples of the genre and blended them into an energetic, high-powered and passionate style. Tickets for Bristol are £10 advance or £12 OTD. Join us for a mind-bending, adrenaline fuelled night celebrating the best of new independent music in some of our best southwest venues! Door Time: 7pm Advance Ticket Price: £10

Entry requirements: 14+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
