gaws + The Family Battenberg & sleepingpeople at Crofters Rights

A gig held at The Croft on Tuesday 28th March. The event starts at 19:00.

gaws
Formed in Bath & based in Bristol, gaws are a post-punk band that combine the hallmarks of blues & psychedelia to create their own unique sound that incorporates the frenetic energy of The White Stripes, the unconventional song structures of Queens of the Stone Age & the guitar work of The Blinders.
These influences create music that is most at home in a live setting, with the band producing loud & emotionally intense live sets.

The Family Battenberg
The Family Battenberg are a self-produced four-piece garage/psych rock band based in Cardiff, South Wales.
Indulging in their DIY ethos, the band deliver their brand of 70s T.Rex flavoured guitar riffs amidst a blend of driving motorik rhythms, percussive flair and curious lyrical content.

sleepingpeople
Reminiscent of the rich vocals of Jeff Buckley and crunchy guitar tones of IDLES, sleepingpeople inject adolescent frustration into a jangly alt-rock soundscape. Anchored by a steely and distinctive rhythm section, frontman Will Coomes narrates candid songs of escaping boredom in a lifeless Somerset town, confronting fears of failure and watching old friends run off the rails.
