This show is Part. 1 of ‘An Erratic Evening’ - EB’s eclectic mini-fest taking place in BOTH rooms of the Crofters on Weds 5th Oct. First up, take a hefty bite of new wave/post-punk bolognese with Qlowski + Holy Reptile in the Main Room… then stroll on over to Room 2 for a gorgeous neo-jazz dessert with Glass Museum.
Propulsive rhythms, a modern spin on kiwi-pop and a weird combination of dark punk, noise rock and flower pop perfect for outsiders, weirdos, loners and sweethearts.
Consisting of Michele Tellarini (vocals, guitars) and Cecilia Corapi (vocals, keyboard) who are both from Bologna in Italy, plus Irishman Danny Smartt (bass, clarinet) and the USA’s Christian Billard (drums & percussion).
Qlowski translates the restlessness of their thoughts into a full blown musical manifesto where early post-punk nuances are heightened by an extremely poetic and compelling vision encapsulating words, imagery, and noise.
- Vetna -
Vetna is a music project founded by Lorenzo Chia, born in Turin two years ago, and now based in Bristol.
Vetna's music could be defined as alternative rock, with relevant influences from the ‘90s and '00s.
English electronic music (ambient, techno & big beat) from that period plays an important role as well in defining the sound coordinates of the whole project.
But let's not forget as well an always present punk attitude, heavily-distorted guitars, psychedelia and, most of all, what you wish to imagine in it.
- Holy Reptile -
A dark, fuzzy three piece band from the UK, playing psych rock music with a gloomy edge.
Combining blistering walls of guitar with brooding basslines that contrast with subdued sections, Holy Reptile's songs explore a variety of emotional states.
