Out of Sorts presents the first of a series of intimate parties in the City, inviting two of Bristol’s finest tastemakers for a trip through two hours of their signature off-kilter club sounds.

After almost 15 years spent working on their individual projects and quietly contributing to the pulse of their respective Cities, Em + Stav have merged paths to become both a DJ and production duo. Individually, Em held a 15-year residency at Oxford’s Simple and co-runs Mix Nights alongside, amongst others, Daisy Moon and Danielle, a DJing course focused on building visibility and community for women and non-binary DJs. Stav has hosted his Restless Nights parties across the city for over three years, inviting the likes of Jane Fitz, Saoirse and Hamish & Toby to Bristol’s best venues.

Together, they’ve released on Midland’s Intergraded, London-based label Earful of Wax and Gottwood’s Nottwax compilation. The duo have close ties to both Gottwood and the people’s favourite, Field Manoeuvres, and if you’ve made it to either there’s a good chance you’ve stumbled across some of the trips they’ve taken party goers through their masterfully crafted crates.
