Garcia - 'Higher' Release Show, Healing Music E01 at The Crypt of St John

A gig on Saturday 30th November. The event starts at 19:00.

What is ‘healing music’? “It’s the opposite of escapism. It's music that brings people closer to each other and closer to this moment. Beyond feel-good music to something deeper. Feel-better music for a world that needs to reconnect.” On 30th November, Garcia and the 'Healing Music' event team are celebrating the first-ever event in the series. The series kicks off with Garcia's debut single 'Higher', which will be the first of many singles released in the coming nine months. The show will be an exploration of how to create a blissful environment and share an unforgettable night. The purpose is to break out of monotonous routine, wake up to the reality of mental health and remind ourselves of the importance of connection to each other and the world around us. This is not a normal gig. The environment will be immersive, tapping into the senses that connect us to our experience. Garcia's ‘feel-better’ sound explodes with heavy drums, heartfelt vocals, orchestral swells, ethereal guitar, warm pianos, electronic arpeggiators and field recordings of blissful scenes. Samples of Greta Thunberg, Aurora and other influential progressives interweave Garcia's full-band live performances to make a seamless, entrancing and inspiring experience. To quote- it “commands concentration” and “effortlessly weaves a kind of magic” (Ian Gillan, frontman, Deep Purple). Fully surround-sound natural soundscapes accompany us all through the night, and although it won't actually be raining down in the crypt, bring a warm coat as it could get cold. Please arrive at 7 to get the most out of the special night. Lineup: Garcia Emily Magpie (Electro-soul) Lorcan Thomas (Ambient guitar) James Turner-Moore (Ambient piano soundscapes) Mindfulness instructor TBC See you soon for a smiler!
