Cheap drinks, alternative music and contemporary art for the hopeless romantics.
In this independent Fine art exhibition, 6 emerging artists explore what Erotism is. Inspired by the work of French philosopher George Bataille we have taken The Crypt, a place of stillness and quietude to host an intimate discourse of what love, sensuality and intimacy means through the mythological narrative of Nyx and Helios.
Within the gallery space, we have considered intriguing juxtapositions between the artworks, creating an interesting dialogue between the piece and the audience. Suggesting the mysteries of the unconscious, eroticism and death through a poetic narrative.
