We begin our journey into Haar with 3 selectors which have been diligently furthering their own projects in Bristol and beyond.
McGregor
Having been producing under his own name for the past 3 years, McGregor has been working hard to establish himself as an artist, and clearly it’s beginning to pay off. Since he began, he’s supported the likes of DJ Seinfeld for DJ Mag, Youandewan at RADION Amsterdam, and released his own EP on the dutch label Depth Over Distance last august. His production style has shifted over the years since he started, but what has always remained is his passion for reflecting emotions through both the music he makes and in his evocative yet driven DJ sets.
Art Vandelay
Art Vandelay’s the head honcho of Bristol based party starters, More Than. Having worked on lineups with the likes of Romare & Detroit Swindle, he’s excited to be reunited with the ever impressive McGregor for the Scot’s new project Haar. With an affection for the unexpected, and a musical knowledge that's up there with the best of them, we're excited to see what he has to offer.
Sower
Sower has a unique set of influences, using off beat rhythms and sampling music from around the world, his wide musical knowledge allows him to glide through bpm’s and styles with ease. His work has been supported by a range of influential artists; from Andrew Weatherall and Tim Sweeney all the way to Batu_music and Saoirse. His release on Berlin label Nie Wieder Schlafen has allowed him to play throughout the UK, Berlin and France supporting artists including Djrum and The Pilotwings. Expect big things from this up-and-coming heavyweight.
