A
gig
on Saturday 2nd May. The event starts at 20:00.
Tired or revising for exams? Looking for a way to celebrate May Day? Need an exciting way to welcome the Summer?
Well look no further!!! The hunt is over because The Eldon House is proud to present its annual STREET PARTY!! That's right to mark the beginning of Summer we're closing off Lower Clifton Hill and having ourselves a bit of a bash! Why you say? Because we can!!
So what do we have in store? Well...
We have live music all day from 7 acts (listed below), an American Style BBQ, an outdoor bar manned by Landlord Rab, face-painting (mostly for the kids), a dressing up"photo-booth", variety of market stalls and to top it all off KARAOKE hosted by our own Karaoke Queen and barmaid Tinks!! Best part of all its 100% FREE ENTRY!!
The day is kicking off at 12pm and the outdoor entertainment will last until 8pm, we then move the party inside until the early hours! We're easily found just off the Clifton Triangle opposite QEH school and right next-door is a multistory car park if your coming form further afield!!
"Who are the bands?! " You cry! Well starting we've gone for some soulful singing from Jocasta with support on the guitar from Kit Morgan, following them we have newcomer Emily-Jane Sheppard covering pop and rock classics. We then liven things up with some of the Eldon's favourites, Lost 11, Appalachia, Flash Harry and last years headliners Dry Clean Only. Once we move indoors Aviator Brass will get you dancing with brass band cover versions of classic tunes before you pass the mic over to you for Karaoke!!
It promises to be a fun filled day for everybody! Also feel free to partake in some fancy dress, the general theme is all things SUMMER!!
The schedule is subject to sudden changes from what's below.
Outdoor Bar & BBQ open 12pm-7:30pm
Face-painting, "photo-booth" & market stalls available 12-6pm
