See event details

A clubnight on Saturday 22nd June. The event starts at 20:00.

Fun It Up! is bringing the sounds of 60's Jamaica Back To Bristol.

The place to be for all lovers of original Ska, Rocksteady, Early Reggae, and any other oldies that fit the bill, as we take you back to the time when the dance was nice. All tunes are served up on nothing but ORIGINAL vinyl 45's (No Repress), and you can expect to hear heavyweight tunes and rarities throughout the night, as we keep your feet moving to the beat.

This edition of Fun It Up! features special guest Slector Mr. Simon Tipper From Birmingham. Tipp is a stalwart of the 60's reggae scene, and has one of the most impressive collections of original JA vinyl in the UK. This Edition promises to be a corker. You will be hearing records of the very highest quality, being played from the first track to the last, with no let up.

Good small music venues are hard to find in Bristol, but in "The Elmer's Arms" we have secured a venue which fits the bill perfectly. Specializing in Real Ales, and 60's music, with the decor to match, this bar has become a hub of subcultures and music lovers. Elmers Arms is located on Old Market Street, an ideal location as it is a short walk from Temple-Meads Train Station (Bristol's Main Station), and has lots of hotels in close proximity. We know we have friends and followers coming from across the country for this event, so please message us if you want any advice with regards to transport/accommodation.
