Inkling bookclub presents...Piranesi at The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer
See event details

A event on Tomorrow. The event starts at 19:30.

This month our theme was closed spaces / "bottle episode" books, where all the action in the novel takes place within one set space. we had a lot of fun with this theme, and the winner was Piranesi (set in the magical "house"), which beat Lincoln in the Bardo (entirely inside a crypt) and Orbital (Samantha Harvey's philosophical novel set in a space station). we wish we could read all 3 !!

join us for a glass of wine and a chat at 7:30pm at the Royal Navy Volunteer on Kings St, BS1 4EF (we are usually in the room to the right of the bar when you walk in!). join the group chat for further info, as we sometimes sit outside if it's warmer (link in our bio @inkling.bookclub)

we ask for a £3 donation for each of our sessions, and all the proceeds go to charity. we pick a different charity every 6 months! if you cannot afford to donate this time, our tickets are pay-as-you-feel, so please only contribute what you can < 3
