Tin Can Charms Workshop at The farside
See event details

A event on Tuesday 18th February. The event starts at 18:00.

Im running a Tin Can Charms workshop on a 18th February at The Farside on stokes croft! We’ll be embossing tin cans with images, sigils and words we have designed together to create charms and personal totems with fabric, beads and embellishments! We can use fabric and fastenings to make them into brooches, pendants, patches that you can use to add to the pocket altars I will be running a workshop on or as an individual totem. This is a space run by a neurodivergent queer and so is a welcome and judgement free space, I believe that accessible arts are important and build confidence, community and let us practice freedom, autonomy and make mistakes in a world that focuses on outcome and perfectionism and dismisses process! This is my ‘fuck around and find out’ manifesto to subvert these ideas in this space. Enjoying ourselves in a basement together whilst imagining more!
Come along!
