Cardinals at The Fleece

A gig held at The Fleece on Wednesday 11th November. The event starts at 19:30.

Cardinals are a contemporary Irish indie/post-punk band from Cork. Known for their blend of edgy post-punk, art-rock, and traditional Irish influences, they gained prominence in the mid-2020s and released their debut album, Masquerade, in February 2026

Formed by a group of brothers, their cousin, and childhood friends from Kinsale who relocated to Cork, Cardinals are frequently noted for their unique, often atmospheric sound that integrates traditional instrumentation (such as the accordion) into a modern guitar-band framework. Critics have described their music as having a “literary quality,” drawing inspiration from Irish culture and literature, with themes that explore heritage, faith, and personal vulnerability.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
