Haunted Siblinghood: Be Experimental With BexX at The Galleries, Broadmead

A event on Saturday 23rd July. The event starts at 16:00.

Haunted Siblinghood is a playful, creative space allowing for all persons to express themselves fully and to be held, loved and accepted.

Bridging the gap between a workshop and a concert, BexX invites the audience to express their creativity through singing, in collaboration with improvised live-music production. Through journaling, vocalising and experimenting with sound, we create entirely new tracks and songs that respond to the audience, who in turn respond to the music. We create a safe space for self-expression, for being vocal and for escaping our comfort zones.

10 mins - Icebreaker & Opening Circle
15 mins Vocal Yoga
25 mins Journaling (BYO or pencils and paper can be provided)
45 mins First Improvised set.
10 min Break for conversation and connection
30 mins Second improvised set.
5 mins Ending with a BexX song.
5 mins Closing Circle

About the facilitator, BexX:

Hailing from Bristol, BexX is an artist who has broken through their own fear and said “I’ll do it anyway”, and launched as a Non-Binary artist in 2020 with the release of “I’m Still There’, ‘Love Chooses You’ and ‘All That You Dream’ - Featuring Lady Nade, which gained plaudits on BBC Bristol’s Upload as Track of The Week, Trans Radio UK, Medway Pride Radio and BuzzMusic.

With a long-held passion for helping others discover their own voices, BexX has always lent their talent and music to those that felt insecure or too afraid to speak up. Coming from their career as a music facilitator, they have enjoyed championing other artists and musicians whilst laying the foundations to launch their own original music.

BexX releases music that encourages people to be themselves in the most true and authentic way, no matter how raw, by challenging stereotypes, breaking social expectations and helping people to strengthen self esteem.

BexX breaks the boxes to challenge limitations of what is possible believing that - not conforming to genre is just as important as not conforming to gender.
