£4 PINTS! ALSO:
AT THE HELM: THE BIG CHORDS
Boarding the good ship ROCK in Wigan in 1995 and sailing round the world for 3 decades with nothing but 69 barrels of Stella Artois and a copy of 'The Masterplan', The Big Chords - Named after E/A/D, the biggest of the chords - are finally ready to commence boarding actions and take the Grain Barge by storm with a combination of psychedelic guitars, driving beats, and stolen Northern valour. First Bristol outing for this lot, and maybe the last, if the Harbourmaster gets his way.
TANGLED IN THE RIGGING: THE ORNSTEINS
Power-pop dockside urchins coming in hot off a riotous sold out expedition to the isle of St Dunstan's, full of gumption and hope, ready to be broken by the harsh realities of life at sea. Despite these land-lubbers deep fear of scurvy and the lash, they are ready to dispense their usual blend of figurehead-melting solos, guitar tones so phat that only whales can hear 'em, and lines catchy enough to snag Moby Dick.
TRUSTWORTHY FIRST MATES: LIFTER
Venerable maestros of Bristol's alt-folk circuit, Lifter are gonna be launching this hopefully-not-cursed expedition into the great seas of excellent guitar music with their steady, reliable hand and years of experience. Their precision songwriting prowess and live performances tighter than the most seaworthy knots have earned that a reputation as a crew not be trifled with! 'Fuckin well sick that' - Thor Heyerdahl
All post-expenses proceeds split evenly between the bands. Wild Kindness is a division of Ornsteins Incorporated.
