Communing in Rest

Communing in Rest at The Green House x Xquisit Spaces

An event on Sunday 4th October. The event starts at 13:00.

#### What does it truly mean to rest in a world that constantly asks us to do more?

Join Anz and Hana for a restorative workshop supported by the powerful practices of Restorative Yoga and Sound (Nada) Yoga. As the season shifts around us, we’ll use breath, gravity and spaciousness to soften into a gentler rhythm.

Restorative Yoga invites an introspective quality, offering us the opportunity to slow down, turn inward and explore the non-physical layers of Self. In the spirit of autumn, we’ll embrace the natural invitation to create space for stillness, rest and renewal. Holding softer asanas (postures) for longer periods, supported by props, allows the physical body to gradually release muscular tension and the nervous system to settle. With nothing to achieve or force, we can simply be held by the practice; nourishing the body, quieting the mind and creating space for a deeper sense of connection within.

Nada, or Sound Yoga, is your time to nestle down and absorb the restoring benefits of sound. Using techniques learnt in Nepal, Anz will use the meditative overtones of the Himalayan Singing Bowls along with the Gong and gentle humming to create space around the thoughts and allow the whole body and mind to drop into a fuller release.

Open to all, no previous experience of yoga or sound is needed.
