September sees The Green Man turn 5. What a fantastic 5 years it's been.
To celebrate we are having one big party with over 25 ales & ciders for you to choose from. There will be live music over the weekend, extended opening hours & we will be roasting a whole deer on the Saturday.
Over the past 5 years we have seen a change in attitude toward the real ale scene. The word Craft has become the buzz word in the beer world & folks with tight trousers & fancy facial hair have started to enjoy a jar or 2 of what was once regarded an unfashionable, brown drink enjoyed by the older generation, who coincidentally, also have fancy facial hair & wear tight trousers.
We are going to carry out a test & get some of these trendy new crafty brewery beers in & some of the more traditional brewery beers in that we have used over the last 5 years & let you, the people decide. You come, you sample some of the delights we have to offer & you vote for your favourite beer. We will announce the winner and the end of the weekend.
So will it be craft or daft?
