It'syourlossbabe is a new Bristol based community which aims to create a safe, supportive space for young people to connect over their experiences with grief. After losing my brother when I was 20, I felt very isolated and unsupported in my grief and unfortunately this seems to be common for many people under 30. So let's make a change.
The event will take place at the wonderful Greenbank pub in Easton, Bristol, in their function room from 12-4pm. We’ll kick off with several speakers detailing their personal experiences with loss and grief with a Q&A at the end, so there will be plenty of opportunity to ask any questions (note, the space is ours for the afternoon and will provide a perfectly private, but relaxed setting!).
From around 2-4pm the room will be used as a safe space to meet and chat to other likeminded people who may be experiencing similar emotions and situations to you. You're welcome to drop in and out as you please - hopefully this is the start of creating a wonderful support network.
Drinks can be bought from the bar downstairs and I will provide some food, but you can also bring a dish and add to the spread.
