HANDS OF THE HERON

Hands of the Heron is a long-running psychfolk collaboration between songwriters Bec Garthwaite, Beth Roberts & Claire Vine. Moving effortlessly between sparse choral folk and shimmering instrumental textures, their interlocking vocal harmonies are a constant thread running through the various hues of their dreamlike, mercurial songs. Their third album Quiet Light is “tender & hypnotically precise” (Folk London) - an expression of blend and balance that explores the tension between tending for yourself and connecting with others.

"Bec Garthwaite, Beth Roberts and Claire Vine share a near-telepathic gift for unaccompanied singing… fabulously transporting and hypnotic." - PROG Mag

"There isn’t anyone else quite like them... Hands of the Heron unveil a profound sense of tranquillity and aesthetic allure – a soothing balm for the contemporary world." - KLOF Mag

ROLAND GEORGE HARRAD

Roland George Harrad is an alt-folk songwriter & vocalist from Bristol, UK. Drawing on influences from jazz, folk, soul & theatre, Roland's lyrics are written with piercing vulnerability, but delivered with refreshing humour and impeccable vocal dexterity. His harmonic arcs defy expectations in their twists and transitions, yet conclude with a satisfying inevitability reminiscent of Paul Simon and Leonard Cohen.

While unafraid to sing about the shadows of existence, Roland also tempers his most vulnerable material with songs that embody his inherent belief in the beauty interwoven through life, and honour the small moments of playful joy that enrich our days.

"Witty, poignant and utterly beguiling" - Pete Judge
