BETH ROBERTS
Beth Roberts is a songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Bristol, UK. Her magnetic voice hints at ancient folksongs & sacred madrigals as she soars over intricate banjo & guitar patterns picked out in unusual modes. There’s a hypnotic intimacy in her performances, drawing listeners into communion with the quiet parts of themselves. Her upcoming debut solo album explores themes of post-religious identity, grief, disassociation & embodiment, creativity & reclamation, death, control, uncertainty, acceptance and renewal.
Her core collaborations form a vibrant constellation of folk-aligned projects with a strong DIY ethos: Hands of the Heron (psychfolk/alt-pop); Hedera (contemporary chamber folk); Tryani Collective (energetic vocal+percussion polyphony); House of Figs (spoken word/soundscape/theatre). She also performs regularly with emerging Bristol artists Fritillaries and Âellin, and has previously collaborated with Ishmael Ensemble, Emily Isherwood, Waldo's Gift and Anna Anise.
As a solo performer, she has supported a varied spectrum of artists including Orchestre Tour Puissant Marcel Duchamp, Rachel Sermanni, Fran & Flora, The Magic Lantern, Martha Tilston, Solana and Haiku Salut. She is co-director of Cuculi Records, enabling independent emerging artists to share their music on their own terms.

BEN OSBORN
Coming from a poetic folk song tradition, Ben Osborn draws also from electronica and classical music, specialising in ethereal strings, complex electronic beats, dreamlike piano chords and expressive lyrics. In his songs, pieces and collaborative works, he seeks to create a space in which highly personal and deeply political stories can be told.
Ben’s debut album “Letters from the Border” was released in 2019 on Nonostar Records. The album received widespread critical acclaim, praised for “incredible orchestration, incredible words, a touch of Leonard Cohen and a touch of Björk” (BBC); it was listed in the top 10 albums of 2019 by CurveBall Radio and its title track was nominated for an International Songwriting Award. 2022 saw the release of the Studies E.P., created in collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Andrea Huyoff as a transdisciplinary artistic project; at once a performance piece, a work of video art, an E.P. of poetic pop songs and a series of lectures. In 2024, he co-wrote much of Alex Stolze’s instrumental album “Raash ve Ruach”, released on the Neue Meister label. He is currently working with Juneson to co-write several songs for her upcoming solo record.
Ben works as a composer, sound designer, librettist and writer, including writing the libretto for Josephine Stephenson’s opera "three lunar seas", (Grand Opera Avignon, 2023), approaching the climate crisis through retelling different myths about the moon, and the lyrics for Stephenson’s song cycle "Kaguya: the daughter tree", premiered in Tokyo at the Bunka Kaikan theatre with choreography by Kaiji Koriyama (2024), exploring connective relationships between humans and plants. He recently composed the soundtrack and sound design for “Ulster American” at Berlin Schaubühne (April 2024), composed the operatic dance installation "optais amme" in Estonia (June 2024), and for Marco Layera’s new play “Territorium” at Schaubühne (2025). Since 2016 he has been co-running Open Music Lab, providing free music education for marginalised music creators in Berlin.
