Sludge Sunday - Sea Bastard, Why Patterns, Phantom Droid

Sludge Sunday - Sea Bastard, Why Patterns, Phantom Droid at The Gryphon

A gig on Sunday 6th December. The event starts at 17:30.

This winter, SLUDGE SUNDAY returns with another monstrous line-up of hefty aural battering.

Headliners SEA BASTARD have returned after a few years in the wilderness and released their epic, smotheringly weighty and hugely impressive new record 'Cyclopean' through Road To Masochist in October. Following a string of dates with Portland legends Primitive Man, and a number of other shows to support the new album, this highly regarded, and well established, extreme doom sludge band are making more noise than ever.

WHY PATTERNS hail from London and have made a significant furrow into the heart of the hardcore punk/noise/experimental scene since they formed in around 2022. Featuring members of Wren and Warren Schoenbright, this three piece bring a deluge of avant-garde, disturbing and pacy tracks - best illustrated in their most recent record 'Screamers' which came out in 2025 on Human Worth.

Bristol's PHANTOM DROID return with their potent mixture of sludge and doom. In the three years they have existed, they have already fired out a string of EPs including the mighty 'Grief/Dungeon' from earlier this year.

All takes place in The Gryphon on Sunday 6th December. Doors 5pm. Over 18s only. £12 ADV/£15 OTD.
