A clubnight held at The Island on Friday 1st May. The event starts at 23:00.
DJ Die Soon (LIVE) : Spawned from the underground hiphop scene, Die Soon casts dystopian freak beats across desolate, bleak landscapes. It's hard, it's disturbed; twisted imagination filtered through an SP-404.
Daisuke Imamura, known as DJ Die Soon, is a Japanese musician, DJ, illustrator and manga artist based in Berlin, Germany. Obsessed with horror themes, he creates an artistic universe by weaving demon masks, Manga and other elements of Japanese culture into his drawings but also into his music, one inducing the other, either way...
Die Soon’s live concerts, albums, exhibitions and publications are followed by a growing public attracted by the approach to his original art. First show in Bristol in over a decade!!
Logic Lost (LIVE) : LOGIC LOST is the experimental electronic project of Jakarta-based musician Dylan Amirio. Blending abrasive soundscapes, aggressive rhythms, and immersive textures, the project crafts a dark and visceral sound that merges elements of techno, gabber, drone, noise, and metal inspired by the cacophonous urban environments of his home country of Indonesia.
His work blends cinematic sound design with global and local socio-political narratives seen through a perspective rooted in his Indonesian heritage. Themes of modernity, memory, and social conditions imbue his compositions, forging an emotional connection between chaos and beauty while serving as both protest and catharsis. His live shows emphasize these themes through the use of thematically curated visuals coupled with the highly structured nature of his sets.
Noise Hz (LIVE) : Noise Hz is a formidable wall of sound in the Glasgow scene, notorious for re-painting the walls of several dingy Glasgow basements with violent splatters of live harsh noise and ferocious distortion. Using no-input mixing, and sampled gabber kicks, Noise Hz performs way out in the red; they are an unrestrained creative expression and a force to watch.
As a producer and performer Noise Hz has a vision for total excess, with heavy measures of sample, vocal-chop heavy passages with a frantic, breathless energy, textured, cramped white-noise ambient, tense, emotive post-club with terse expanses of pregnant space, and sheets of distortion that shimmer on top of brick-wall noise and thumping doubletime caterpillar-track kicks.
Orderly Room (DJ) : ERROR_BIO_STILL_LOADING
Monika Badly (LIVE) : Local goblin Monika Badly brings a frenzied live set of distorted bass end worship, demonic brass abuse, and meat-grinder vocal delivery for a rare club-time outing. Get down early for some May Day hell in the cells.
+ Avon Terror Corps DJs opening the evening and between live sets all night long.
