Tonight at The Island, Bodegón is an exhibition by two artists from Argentina, Natalia is a painter and muralist living in the UK for almost 4 years, and Matias is a graphic designer, ceramic artist, and creator of Aleman studio, he is visiting from their home in Buenos Aires. They have always wanted to do something together, in this exhibition, they present the Aleman studio ceramic collection along with portrait paintings.
The exhibition is named after Bodegón, a style of still-life painting that depicts pantry items. They have taken the traditional concept and re-created it into a contemporary version.
The curatorial text for the exhibition will be provided by our artist friend and also Argentinian Victoria Gomez, and the music of this event will be provided by local artist Mac Lloyd.
They are so excited to share their work and culture with the local community and welcome people to attend.
