RTN w/ Luigi Tozzi

Closing out the year at The Island, we have invited two artists to debut their live sets in Bristol: Luigi Tozzi and Erik Luebs. Pressure and intricate sound design shape our next gathering. From dark to bright, mechanical to organic, the night moves through contrast, with each set holding its own weight and shifting the room’s centre of gravity.

Luigi Tozzi (live)
Born and raised in Rome, Tozzi has become one of the most prominent names in deep techno, with a hypnotic, cinematic and introspective sound built on slow-evolving structures, dark drones and deep atmospheric textures. He has released regularly on Sweden’s Hypnus Records and Psyk’s Non-Series. His music is impactful without being forceful, submerging the audience, pulling them deeper and deeper.

Erik Luebs (live)
The Japan based musician and sound designer approaches techno with a playfully disruptive technique. His music has reached labels including The Bunker New York, Nous’klaer Audio, Bitta and Kompakt, and he has played Draaimolen Festival and DJ Nobu’s Future Terror in Japan. His sets are precise and rhythmically unpredictable. They carry an energy that unwinds and uplifts the crowd. Techno that keeps you slightly off balance, cerebral in how it’s made and physical in the room.

Outstanding local selector Moli joins us with their deep and cosmic soundscapes, weaving through a psychedelic palette where dub, techno and organic influences converge.
