After a long ole break, we are so excited to be announcing our next dance, in our new home, for now, The Island Venue.

Forget what you know about the island, we have special plans to make it into a cosmic portal of delight, with extra surround sound and bespoke lighting and installations.

We have made an active decision to pull away from doing bigger events to a more intimate disco dance and we can't wait to welcome you.

We are super hyped to announce we are welcoming a DJ and producer we have long admired.

Flying in from Lisbon, is the effervescent Hugo Capablanca.

RA once described @capablancas an “underground music hero playing by his own cosmic rules.” He calls himself an “eternal dilettante.” Both are probably right.

A Berlin underground mainstay, now based in Lisbon, Hugo curated and ran Discos & Ediciones Capablanca for well over a decade, redefining leftfield disco, off-kilter house, industrial beats and everything in between.

As 1/2 of Hivern Discs' usual suspects C.P.I. Hugo has also released some rather well-sought-after 12"s such as 'El Tunel/ Proceso' and 'Meine Hand'

Having graced dancefloors, playing at Rainbow Disco Club, Cocktail d'Amore, Panorama Bar, Bassiani, Nyapi Seoul, Lux Lisbon, Bears in Space LA, Vent Tokyo, Public Records NY... .. or perhaps more likely at his favorite little sweaty basement Sameheads, Berlin, the only place he would probably pledge allegiance to. 

Psychedelic energy, zero stylistic reductionism.

He selects where he plays very carefully these days and so we are super honoured he has agreed to come to play for us. Not to be missed.

Is PLU for you?

We are a queer centred dance that is very welcoming to anyone who has a need to rise above the limitations placed on our minds and bodies by the status quo. It is a place for connection and to be free to be who you are without judgement but in celebration of who all of us are.

Any discrimination in any sense simply will not be tolerated by us or indeed the community that make our events possible. We have been doing this for 15 yrs and only had to throw one person out - let's keep it at one :)

Musically we are a dance for both the music heads and the pure hip shakers - the dance is a place to connect through musics.
