TRUK presents : JoeFarr - Manni Dee at The Island
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Fans of industrial, Berghain-style techno would do well to pay close attention to new Bristol crew TRUK. Their second outing at The Island this month brings together Leisure System bright-light JoeFarr and Perc Trax favourite Manni Dee - both highly recommended for fans of high octane, impeccably produced big-room belters. Residents Krash and Exocet complete the bill. Tickets:"

TRUK presents : JoeFarr - Manni Dee

After the success of our first event in Bristol, TRUK return to host two of the finest techno artists in the UK, JoeFarr and Manni Dee.

JoeFarr (User Experience / Leisure System / Onnset)
JoeFarr is widely regarded as a skilled craftsman of electronic music, having flourished quickly since he first emerged in 2011 to become an identifiable name within the underground scene.
In 5 short years he’s built an impressive body of work, including recent productions on Bloc, Leisure System and Turbo, which have secured him a reputation as a forward thinking, innovative and inspiring musical talent. His massively anticipated LP ‘Sense of Purpose’ was released on Bloc Records. Be sure to look out for his raw, live hardware shows and ever evolving DJ sets.

Manni Dee (Perc Trax / Earwiggle / Leyla / Osiris Music)
Manni Dee’s techno smells something like burning rubber. Since 2013’s ‘Pareidolia’ EP, the London-based producer and DJ has been turning out breakneck warehouse fillers with an ear for the unsettled. He has become a repeat offender on Ali Wells fronted Perc Trax, culminating in the anarchic ‘Throbs Of Discontent’ EP. Manni has also seen releases on imprints such as Leyla and Osiris, petrol-fuelled offerings such as ‘Cameron On A Guillotine’ offset by skippier exploits, like the disjointed mechanics of ‘Romantic Self’. As a DJ, he has performed at some of the world’s premier techno haunts, including the underground’s most public frontier, Berghain, and midlands bass-dungeon House of God.
