Groovy dance floor controller Brian Shimkovitz (Awesome Tapes from Africa) first explored the rich spectrum of African music whilst on a full bright scholarship to Ghana, since then the collecting of these tapes went on to become an experience he shared through a music blog, before ultimately becoming a record label where Brian was able to offer a platform to release these forgotten or unheard gems.
