A
gig
held at The Island
on Thursday 27th April. The event starts at 19:30.
A night of live AV set in the depths of The Island. Featuring immersive audio visual experiences, installations and DJs.
+ void_null (liveAV)
COLLAPSE is an immersive LiveAV performance from void_null. It’s a response to one of the darkest mysteries in our known universe - the Black Hole.
The 45 minute show alludes to some of the more bizarre known facts about the nature of these gargantuan creatures, who’s very existence lead to unsettling and fundamental questions about the nature of reality.
Sound artist Akira Sileas has a unique understanding of sound, synthesis and noise, creating experiences that sit perfectly between theory, knowledge, creativity and performance. The end result is always something really special.
+ Moral Fibre + Aevi (live AV)
Aevi generates organic visuals through real-time rendering and generative software. Driving his visuals with live audio data, aevi’s environments are controlled chaos, fluid and ethereal with hard distortion and glitch mixed in.
Moral Fibre interacts with Aevi's visuals through a process of live synthesis and sampling sequenced to generate cerebral soundscapes and underpinned by impactful low-end, contrasted with percussive textural excursions. Moral Fibre is as influenced by ambient experiments as he is club-focused bass music, melding the two to create something else entirely.
DJ set from experimental artist and producer Kayla Painter. Painter’s immersive, ever-evolving performances, are a natural consequence of the entire writing process. 2022 saw her debut headline tour, debut vinyl release (Castles in Space), and supporting Carl Cox, 2021 saw her as tour support for the Rival Consoles Articulation tour, joining a panel with Laurie Anderson, and release of a EP ‘Somewhen’ with singles on heavy rotation via BBC6Music, and celebrated by fans and media alike.
