Palestine Through the Lens: Photography Exhibition

Palestine Through the Lens: Photography Exhibition at The Island

An event held at The Island on Tuesday 24th November. The event starts at 12:00.

Tuesday 24 November - Saturday 12 December 2026 Opening times  12.00 - 18.00 daily The Island Gallery

From everyday moments of joy and community to the realities of occupation, displacement and destruction, this exhibition of 30 photographs from the Network of Photographers for Palestine offers a compelling portrait of Palestinian life.

Spanning landscapes, traditions, acts of resistance and scenes of daily life, the images reveal the richness of Palestinian society alongside the profound impact of occupation and war. Photographs of Gaza before and after the devastation provide a particularly moving testimony to what has been lost, and what remains.

Part of Bristol Palestine Film Festival's 2026 theme, Testimony, the exhibition celebrates photography as a means of bearing witness, preserving memory and resisting erasure.

We are offering free entrance to this exhibition to ensure it remains accessible to as wide an audience as possible. The images can be purchased and donations will be invited, so we can offer something in return to the photographers who witness in person what they allow us to see through the lens.

With special thanks to Bristol’s Redcliffe Imaging, for their generous support with the high quality printing of the images on display.
