A clubnight held at The Jam Jar on Sunday 24th August. The event starts at 22:30.
Yes yes! MASSIVE thanks to those of you who reached the last Slippin’ with Villem, Leo Wood, Optimysitc and our residents! It meant a lot as following London Elektricity, this was equally full of vibes (and dancers) and gave us proper momentum going into our third event of 2025.
So for all of you in Bristol over the BH weekend, at our next session we are proud to present an extended set from a true legend of the scene: the man, the myth, the don of feel-good Jungle & DnB: PESHAY!
We honestly don’t recall having seen Peshay’s name on a poster in Bristol for a long long time. A legendary Drum& Bass Jungle artist who’s been enjoying a bit of a comeback of late, for this session he is our sole headliner as we invite him down to play a big selection of career spanning Jungle & DnB sounds over a 3hr extended set!
We’re all about new talent and also giving props to the architects of the scene with our nights. Starting his career in 1992, prominent early releases such as Psychosis, Piano Tune, On The Nile and Vocal Tune are often cited by peers and press as some of the most highly influential within the genre. Part of the Metalheadz family and a resident at the legendary ‘Blue Note’ nights in the mid 90’s, Peshay is well known of euphroic rave sounds, amazing rolling breaks, uplfiting vocals, jazz-tinged DnB, top-quality Liquid and DJ sets that offer new sounds mixed in with the classic, and also the old-skool respectful approach of letting top tracks breath and known his unique blends!
As well as his classic 90’s material, personally for us the music he created during the ‘golden era’ of Liquid - the early to mid 2000’s - from his ‘Fuzion’ and ‘Jammin’ albums is some of the most fun, dancefloor ready DnB music we can recall and is up there with the amazing stuff that Marcus Intalex, High Contast, Calibre and Marky were all releasing at the time.
From releases on Mo Wax, to Good Looking, Metalheadz, Island records, his own self released stuff on Cubiks and countless amazing remixes, there’s lots to dig into and discover with Peshay. Of course there’s also his now legendary 1996 Jungle mix on Youtube which has over 3 millions views!

Dan ‘Chamba', Nathan Worm, Bella ‘Ephyra’ and Fraser ‘IN2U’ who will all be going B2B2B2B for 2.5 hours getting the room bubbling prior to Peshay stepping up!
IN2U is also the person who takes care of our awesome visuals -the guy has proper skills and has been in demand of late for good reason!
The night is hosted on the mic by the one and only MC Bluejay! Mitch Bluejay, part of Truth Hertz, a Metalheadz regualr of late and one of Bristol’s most experienced DnB MCs and is the perfect fit for our night..
This event is post Forwards and one of the only good club options in Bristol this coming Bank Holiday Sunday so we predict the only 230 capacity Jam Jar could be a roadblock! Peshay will start at 1am giving you plenty of time to get to The Jam Jar from the Downs. For those of you not attending Forwards, Doors are 10.30pm, so get down early to get the dance moving and get stuck in with our quality residents!
Expect top sounds, lighting, visuals, friendly staff, a good bar selection and a wicked atmosphere at the wonderful Jam Jar!
