on Saturday 17th September. The event starts at 21:00.
ZOOMER:
Zoomer are back for a one off gig after 15 years away.
The band was originally formed as 'Bonesaw' by ex Seers mainman Spider. After gaining a great live reputation, the band became Zoomer and tightened up their punk/pop sound with new guitarist Wiggy. The band went on to play across the country and released 2 albums on their own 'Fifties Mindreader Turban' record label 'Hello Lover' and 'Monkey Lands Plane'. After some final gigs supporting Snuff and at Ashton Court Festival, the band split. Some months later Teenage Girls was formed with with Zoomer's Spider on vocals, Wiggy and Paul on guitars and the addition of Chaos UK/Hot 27s drummer Pat Evans (Devilman) on the kit. Short lived, but prolific and powerful live and on record, Teenage Girls garnered a strong reputation on the live circuit.
It's this line up, with original Zoomer bass player Chris Gregory (Crazy Bones) in place that will play on the 17th September at The Lanes. Expect a mix of Zoomer and Teenage Girls - sharp, loud energetic but melodic punk rock.
