A event on Saturday 5th September. The event starts at 20:15.
Get ready for a night of big laughs and big heart as The Langton Pub, St Annes hosts a special charity comedy night on Saturday 5th September, raising vital funds for Crisis, the national charity working to end homelessness across the UK.
This event is part of Christopher Nicholls’ ongoing fundraising efforts for Crisis and all profits will be going to charity. In November, Christopher will be trekking through the Himalayas, following last year’s extraordinary challenge where he completed over 100km across the Sahara Desert. Joining him again in spirit is our compere Amit Mistry, who trekked the Sahara alongside Christopher and has helped bring this comedy night to life.
A Stand-Out Line-Up of UK Comedy Talent
Your host for the evening is Amit Mistry, a rising British‑Indian stand-up comedian based in Manchester, known for his relatable storytelling inspired by first‑generation immigrant parents, millennial married life, and breaking out of stereotypical career paths.
He’ll be introducing a brilliant mix of comedians:
Caz Thorne
- an active UK stand-up comedian, writer, and director best known as the resident MC of QUEER COMEDY SOCIAL, regularly hosting and performing at vibrant comedy nights across London and the UK.
Lynsey Smart
- a Scottish comedian and former psychiatric genetics researcher whose silly, surreal, and delightfully chaotic stage persona has made her a favourite across Bristol’s comedy scene.
Emmanuel O
- a rapidly rising star on the UK circuit, celebrated for his sharp, quick‑witted, self‑deprecating humour blending observations about his Nigerian heritage, everyday life, and modern pop culture.
Eva Bindeman
- a Bristol-based comedian originally from the North East, known for her warm, conversational style and unexpected twists, and winner of the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year award.
Eshaan Akbar
- a British‑Asian comedian, actor, and writer best known for Live At the Apollo, Mock the Week, QI, and his role as Principal Lakhani in Netflix’s Sex Education, bringing sharp, culturally aware comedy to the stage.
With this diverse and dynamic line-up, expect a fast-paced night full of energy, personality, and unforgettable performances.
