Running 18th - 29th June at The Launderette Gallery on Cheltenham Road, BS6 5RR

We welcome you to Negative Thinking’s annual exhibition of handmade photography.
This exhibition showcases a range of work that has been made in our community darkrooms and studio over the last year, celebrating the dedication and creative flair of forty-four artists.

We are incredibly proud of the individuals who have been turning up to invest in themselves and their practice; developing their creative skills in photographic processes as a hobby, a mental health ritual or a career.
This event is a friendly and inclusive way to push our community to think about their work in a new way; the framing of a print, the experience of showing work perhaps for the first time, and the collective feeling of accomplishment for putting something out into the world for others to seek out or stumble upon.

Chemical photography is full of potential, exploration and play. Negative Thinking aims to ensure that the darkroom, and the process of learning is as accessible and affordable as possible so that people can feel uninhibited enough to use their time with us to experiment with the full potential of hand made photography.

However you have found yourself at this exhibition, we hope you enjoy your time with the work, and that it sparks the creative spirit within. We have been so privileged to see these prints come out of our darkroom. Each one created with care and devotion to the practice. To share them with you now is an incredible honour.
