A event on Thursday 16th April. The event starts at 18:00.

In their upcoming exhibition, Bristol-based artists Ben Hartley & Cassie Ireland present speculative craft as a site of resistance. By grafting salvaged car parts into animal hides and weaving electrical cables into tactile mats, the artists combine by-products and waste from industry and fold it back into a proximity of human care.

From hand-knit gossamer nets to spiritual protective armour sewn from rabbit skin, with every sinew recovers an ancient rhythm of making, a quiet, ritualised labour that stands against the friction-less output of mass production in the modern world.

Join us for the opening night Thursday 16th April, 6-9pm: The Launderette, 145 Cheltenham Road, Bristol, BS6 5RR
