Slack Alice and Escalator To Nowhere join forces to present a power couple of DJing and multidisciplinary arts from northern Finland.

Juhani has been a central figure in the Oulu music scene for over 20 years, promoting and DJing under various aliases and projects, embracing a wide, eclectic range of music and styles and relishing opportunities to shape-shift to new vibes and crowds. In recent years he's been playing all over Finland, including at Helsinki-venues like Post Bar, Kaiku and Ääniwalli, and at the Hot! Hot! Hot! festival in Bergen, Kafé Hærverk in Oslo, and twice at Solstice Festival in the mountains of Ruka. He's also brought international artists to perform, like Mala, Central, Bjørn Torske, Al Wootton, Main Phase, Mungo’s Hi-Fi and many more. Alongside producing the Oulu Music Video Festival, his main projects are his Elektorni nights, label and radio show, and their murkier underground sibling Elektyrmä, as well as less frequently organised Cool Down reggae/dub nights and the Luv-N-Magic Italo-Disco nights. Elektyrmä just put out a new 12” with a noise track by local artist Tyhjä Pää and remixes by Bristol's own Slack Alice affiliates Bad Tracking.

Otilia is a DJ, artist, designer and dancer, and part of the multi-disciplinary club collective Cultish. As a DJ they've played at parties in Oulu, at Post Bar and Kaiku in Helsinki and Kafé Hærverk in Oslo, and also at Insomnia festival in Tromsø and is part of a stellar line-up for Solstice festival 2024. They've also exhibited textile art at various events, and have a unique and visionary eye for fashion, designing and making her own clothes and outfits. Check out their instagram pages for the vibe!
