URF X Ocean

We're excited to bring you a collaborative event between Urban Resistance to Fascism (URF) and Ocean, an event series ran by Saturate Radio. This Donate What You Can (DWYC) event is in solidarity with the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who have endured the deadliest conflict since WW2.

The series of genocides and wars that have persisted in the DRC for the last 3 decades have stolen the country of 6 million lives. This genocide is a direct result of Belgium Colonialism and has been facilitated by the global system of Neo-Colonialism, with the natural resources our modern world depend on being stolen from the nation at the behest of Capital. All profits from this event will be donated to Focus Congo who do invaluable work in education, humanitarian relief and income-generating activities in the DRC.

URF aims to create inclusive cultural and educational spaces where minds, relationships and desires meet with sounds, dance and visual media that disrupt and direct us away from Fascist, Capitalist and Imperialist modes of being.

Saturate Radio is an emerging community radio station using music, broadcasting and events to connect Bristol's independent creative community. The mission is to inspire and inform audiences by championing independent cultural voices, holistic practitioners and multidisciplinary creatives, while creating accessible opportunities for collaboration, learning and cultural dialogue amongst communities.

Along with the soundscape of Hip Hop and Afro-House, you can enjoy free pizza courtesy of Pizzarova and stalls from Bad Apple and BASE.
