Freedom of Groovement: Tech Support & Dar Disku at The Love Inn
£4 OTD

A clubnight held at The Love Inn on Saturday 15th February. The event starts at 22:00.

For our first event of the new decade, we're bringing 2 selectors on unbelievable hot streaks to one of our favorite venues: The Love Inn.

First up, Tech Support. A Brighton native, we first became aware of his talents way out in west Wales where he was killing the warm up set for the legend Marcellus Pittman. If we had to define his style, we'd say he's a maestro of the delicate art of mixing the old and new. Using his impeccable taste to look backward in order to push us all into a fresh yet somewhat familiar future. He's got an impressive library of mixes and radio shows through a residency on his local 1BTN radio, and his residency at London's legendary Mick's Garage. His deftness behind the decks aside, he's a dab hand with the DAW as well, putting out considered edits and original tracks which have been picked up by a host of the underground's best labels including Dansu Discs and HOMAGE. A local boy at heart but with a global perspective on grooves (understandable when you live in the same city as Mr. Bongo), we're super excited to welcome him back to Bristol for the first time since 2018!

Closing out the evening will be Bahrain's hottest class act, DAR DISKU. After wreaking serious havoc to our last party, we knew they'd be ideally suited to the energy crew and intimacy of the Love Inn. After a huge first year, 2020 sets to be even bigger with more releases on their own imprint and shows all over the world. Their distinct blend of middle-eastern sounds with big boi synths & beats has earned their output a seat at the table with some of the best DJs around: Palms Trax, Hunee, and Nabiyah Iqbal to name drop just a few (seriously, there's a lot more). Spreading unearthed gems from tapes haggled at zouks on their residencies Worldwide FM and our own Noods Radio, expect the confines of your mind to be freed and blown, in that order.

Kicking off the proceedings will be be a b2b between our residents: head honcho Tem and Devvul. FoG is actually a show on 1020 Radio as well, exploring the global impact of dance music in a different country each episode. Head to Mixcloud to hear more. Joining him is Devvul, 1/2 of DanceDiscover. We've long been fans of his balanced approached to DJing, always finding the right amount of energy to keep you engaged.

Tickets will be £4 OTD & cash only, 18+ & BRING ID!
