A
clubnight
held at The Love Inn
on Saturday 20th January. The event starts at 22:00.
After hosting Softi and Amy Kisnorbo at The Love Inn for a fantastic night this time last year, Bubble return with another juicy lineup of bass and breaks and modern dancefloor goodness.
For the first ‘Bubble’ of 2024 they have invited two guest artists to grace the decks at the Inn.
‘Not Even Noticed’ are starting to get noticed with those who like their beats clean, rave tinged & bass heavy, and are in Bristol for their first ever UK show!!
The Hamburg based duo caught the ears of Bubble last year, with what was the finest release of the 2023 calendar year on the ever fantastic Holding Hands label. ‘Don’t You Dare’ is as an exciting and well produced 4 track EP that you could ever wish to hear - squidgy, wiggly, garage-y, beats with soaring pads, big break downs and MASSIVE BASS, this EP was on constant rotation and DJ usage for us…
Their beats are taking so much about what we love about dance music and putting it all in a blender with the results on the other side meaning you can hear (or taste) all the ingredients clearly!
The duo also had releases on Scottish Electro label Craigie Knows, and EPs on Diffuse Reality and Masa plus an absolutely stomping self released happy hardcore-esque track called ‘Intrinsic’ that had a video released for it on the Ballacid YouTube channel. They made their Amsterdam Dance Event debt in October alongside Harrison BDP and are here to play forthcoming dubs and dancefloor goodness at the Love Inn for a proper little rave this January! We hope you can come to welcome them and hear their exciting sounds on a nice decent club system!!
Our other guest DJ for this event is Alicia:
Alicia is a DJ, producer and co-founder of London-based club night Terra Obscura. Her unique combination of disparate styles is in no doubt owed to her background as a trained classical musician, as well as several years spent working behind the counter of the renowned Phonica Records. Her explorative and considered approach has seen her become a fixture on the London club scene, having played at the likes of Fabric, Phonox and Corsica Studios. Radio-wise, she has recently become a monthly resident on Rinse FM, as well as a regular on Kindred, a station that is fast becoming a creative hub for the city's underground scene.
As a producer, Alicia’s music has seen releases on the likes of Fever AM, the Berlin-based imprint run by Mor Elian and Rhyw. Her tracks build on the same detailed-driven, eclectic style as her sets, where as equal attention is placed on the mind as on the body. We’re looking forward to hearing Alicia’s classy and modern selections in The Love Inn.
Rounding off the bill is: Nathan Worm
Nathan is Bubble head-honcho, Bristol promoter and a DJ of 17+ years. He is also the founder of Worm Disco Club.
Expect upfront and classic dance music sounds on both vinyl and digital, from old-school mid-2000’s dubstep, to garage, techno and other styles he loves to reach for!
