Described as'a fascinating collaboration between two of the most creative musicians in UK jazz, this contemplative duo will take you on a lyrical, atmospheric and absorbing exploration of a wide range of Jazz, Latin, improvised and ambient music. Ever since their critically acclaimed album P.S. from 2003 this'masterclass' saxophone and guitar duo's, all too rare, performances have been seen as major events in the UK Jazz calendar. Last seen in this part of the world at 2014 Bristol International Jazz Festival tonight's gig promises to be really special.
For anybody not familiar with John Parricelli, he was a founder member of Loose Tubes, recording three albums with them. Since then he has worked and recorded with a number of the most important musicians in contemporary jazz, including Kenny Wheeler, Lee Konitz, Paul Motian, John Taylor, Julian Arg elles, Iain Ballamy, Martin Speake, Stan Sulzmann, Annie Whitehead, Mark Lockheart, Tim Whitehead and has featured in several of Andy Sheppard's projects and CD's.
