Omega Institute comprise Nigel Bryant (electronics), Jeff Green (bass) and Aidan Searle (drums). Nigel and Aidan are active players in the Bristol free jazz and improvisation scene. The trio have also served as ‘Soundcarriers’ for legendary Can frontman Damo Suzuki. Electronic Sound magazine described Omega Institute as ‘blending stuttering tidal waves of electronics and dubby rhythms that are as hypnotic as they are intense’. At this unique event OI will be collaborating with spoken word artists for the first time.
