Stop press; Alexei Sayle is coming to town!

RIOT ACT- Bristol’s Madcap Open Mic Cabaret Clubnight- welcomes you to a night of unforgettable, immersive spooky cabaret madness across both floors of The Mount Without.

At the top of our bill, we have a countercultural hero who needs no introduction. Godfather of alternative comedy Alexei Sayle joins us to reflect on a legendary career in the business. From compering the Comedy store in the late seventies to his iconic roles in The Comic Strip, The Young Ones and The Alexei Sayle Show, to adventures as a bestselling author and his more recent conquering of the airwaves with Imaginary Sandwich Bar and The Alexei Sayle Podcast (we could- and will- go on), come and join us for an electrifying night out with the anti-king of alternative comedy himself!

Alongside him, Punk Poetry Crown Prince Redeeming Features takes to the mic to set the stage alight with characteristic high-octane comic verse flair.
Fresh from conquering the stage at a sold-out 5000 capacity gig at the legendary Brixton Academy supporting Punk heroes Soft Play (not to mention two crowd-favourite international tours to the US and South East Asia), come and see one of the most exciting, distinctive and entertaining creative voices on the scene today!

Sharp, sardonic and hysterically hilarious, local Stand Up Heroes Bex Cant, Stephen Bisland and Brendan Common bring us masterclasses in stand up with real bite.

Legend of Bristolian Cabaret Grainne Young-Monaghan blazes trails in the hilarious dark art of gothic clowning.

And from the depths of Bristol’s underworld, brand new Cabaret Superteam TRASH BAGZ bring us an electrifying array of trash filled thrills and breath-taking cabaret talent with a raucous takeover of the Crypt that is bound to spill out onto the stage of the Main Hall.

And RIOT ACT Instigator Sam Riot raises his chalice to host a fast-growing Bristolian crowd favourite open mic, with 3min slots available on the door to practitioners of all performance styles.

Welcome to RIOT ACT: The Halloween Spectacular!
