More of an excuse for me to have a party with some amazing artists (all playing solo sets), than a traditional gig - come join us for the night at one of my fave venues. If the weather's nice the party can continue on strawberry hill..

I'm really thrilled that the following will be playing:

Kakure Baba) (Yoshino from Yama Warashi solo set)

Yoshino Shigihara's new solo project in which she experiments with her voice, percussion and electrified non instruments to go deep in to the sound scapes of nature. 'Kakure Baba' was a name used for a female collaboration two years ago and she is planning to add different guests each time for future performances.

Deej Dhariwal

Experimental guitarist Deej creates lush, outerworld, hymnal compositions fusing vocal drones, tripped out guitar refrains and dark, synth textures. Deej is a member of sonic sound foragers Thought Forms and has released music through excellent independent labels such as Lava Thief and ZamZamRecords. This will be his first solo outing in almost a year and he’s hoping to bring some new material to ears that hunger for the drones and moans of his melancholy vision.

Guy Metcalfe (Improv)

This brand new solo project by Thought Forms drummer Guy Metcalfe will have him mixing acoustic and electronic drums with loops, synths and textural vocals to make a dark and noisy driven improvised sound. What with touring and recording with Thought Forms for 12 years and guest appearances on records with Joe Volk, Twin and Stereocillia it’s high time we heard the inner workings of this drummer.
