ADAM STAFFORD (Song by Toad records)

Adam Stafford is a mutli-talented musician, composer and short film director from Falkirk. Starting out as lead singer and writer for acclaimed Scottish band Y'all is Fantasy Island, he has since carved out an astonishingly varied and widely praised voice of his own.

Known for intense live performances which incorporate soul-pop, post-punk avant-garde and a capella experimentalism, to dizzying effect, his recent work is a cathartic conversation with his own mental health difficulties and inspired heavily by modern American minimalism. He will play a fully improvised set for the night.

“Adam Stafford’s solo outings consistently provide visual and sensory overload” - The Quietus

“A songwriter of real depth, rich in understanding, in melodic virtuosity, his work has gradually built up into an imposing, heroic catalogue" – Clash Magazine

"Scotland's gifted musician and lyrical genius” – Gigsoup

"Powerful" - The Scotsman

BIT MINERS

The Bit Miners are a collective who meet upstairs at the Miner's Arms pub in St Werburghs twice a month to make little boxes (pocket money synthesisers, home made noise boxes, circuit bent, DIY) sing together. Standing against power snobbery by preferring to be battery operated, DAW & laptop-less, they welcome all above to their sessions. We are joined by 6 members on the night.
