Tour support from London's fuzzed-up, heavy blues rock power-trio Stubb. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Geezer (USA) http://geezertown.bandcamp.com/ 2015 was a year of milestones for Geezer. It all started with the worldwide release the highly acclaimed EP “Gage” on Ripple Music, followed by the release of “The Second Coming Of Heavy: Chapter One”. The first in a series of splits from Ripple Music, it combined Geezer’s heavy blues with the massive riffs of Borracho to create an instant classic. Geezer also spent much of the year playing live, including a tour of the the American rust belt with Bison Machine. To date, Geezer has shared the stage with bands like Gozu, Wo Fat, Mos Generator, The Golden Grass, The Midnight Ghost Train and High On Fire, among others. Geezer spreads their brand of heavy-psych-blues across the seas to an ever-expanding international audience. Geezer lay down thick heavy grooves rooted in the tradition of pre-war slide guitar blues, while simultaneously breaking boundaries through sonic experimentation and improvisation. Geezer has also released a digital 4 song EP, entitled Gage, which will be available as a limited vinyl release through STB Records in August of 2014. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stubb http://stubb.bandcamp.com/ Built on the foundations laid down by the pioneers of the 60s and 70s and continue the journey of the power trio ... Biography: The power trios of the late ’60s and early ’70s are the blueprint for Stubb’s loud, hard-driving, fuzzed-up heavy blues rock. The band recorded their first full length album for UK label Superhot Records, and hit the road, gigging with such heavy rock luminaries as the Gentlemans Pistols, Firebird, Cherry Choke, Steak, Sungrazer and The Machine as well as appearing at Desertfest to a packed house. Making the trip over to Europe twice with Stone Axe from the USA further cemented Stubb’s reputation as a solid live act with some serious chops. Quickly, their debut album sold out and fans of heavy rock have been waiting eagerly for their sophomore effort. Now, Ripple Music is proud to deliver Cry of the Ocean, a blissed-out new album that will cement Stubb’s reputation amongst the higher hierarchy of heavy rock bands. "For the dedicated music fan, hearing a great new album is rather akin to the feeling that a gourmet gets when introduced to a particularly tasty meal. The pulse quickens, the heart pulses and a sense of excitement. It is just this feeling that strikes when you are introduced to the flaming guitars and psychedelic visions of London’s mighty Stubb.” -Sonic Abuse --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XII Boar http://xiiboar.com Hailing from the depths of Aldershot, Hampshire; XII BOAR blast their way into your skull with ear-shredding leads, pummelling riffs, dirty bass lines and an irresistibly catchy groove. Combining Motorhead’s swagger, Black Sabbath’s downtrodden doom and the ferocity of High On Fire – this power trio lay down a colossal slab of rock'n'roll-infused, southern-fried metal that fuels even the greatest of parties. Known for having a wildly entertaining and adrenaline driven live show, XII BOAR have brushed shoulders with the likes of Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, Brant Bjork and Blues Pills across the UK and Europe and earned themselves a reputation for being a serious forced to be reckoned with. Having achieved huge critical acclaim with 2015’s debut album Pitworthy, XII BOAR are already back and hailed as one of 2016's strongest artists. Recorded at Skyhammer Studio with renowned producer Chris Fielding (Conan, Electric Wizard, Winterfylleth) at the end of last year, their latest album Beyond The Valley of The Triclops sees the band hitting new heights with a stronger, focused, no limits approach to song writing. Wrapped up in some stunning, booty-tastic artwork done by quasi-legendary artist James Hayball this album creates a total sonic experience, the sort of thing that you can get utterly and beautifully lost in, as you travel beyond the valley. After all... This is pure rock and roll for the heavier generation.
