A
gig
held at The Old England Pub
on Sunday 10th December. The event starts at 20:00pm.
Michael son of Michael, Two Silhouettes, Kondread and Nuno Gonçalo Correia are members of an international music producers collective called The Fearless Few, who take turns setting 180 minute speed challenges and enter music competitions together.
Two Silhouettes operates as a solo act, duo, or band, with producer Sam Holloway collaborating with a circle of singers and musicians including Kev Cousins, Imran Rumjon, Francesca Allen and Somerset’s own Clive Browne. Their music has flavours of the Plastic People scene (Four Yet, Caribou, Jamie XX), and The Bristol Sound. The new album ‘SWOON’ is due November 2017, and blurs dance, rock and R&B.
Michael Son of Michael is a founding member of the Fearless Few. His sound has been described (by himself) as having an unmistakably Scandinavian quality – it’s polished, easy on the ear and unapologetically poppy. Other references include 90s and early 00s electronica – particularly Warp – as well as minimal released by the likes of Kompakt in later years. The set is bound to feature at least one analogue synth.
KonDread is a DJ and beat maker, and a member of The Fearless Few collective. As vinyl selector his collection oscillates around UK post-dubstep and hybrid bass electronic music. Trying to describe his own music made under different aliases it's an experiment of atmospheric soundscapes and broken beats.
