Sativa / Parkii + Yo Hablo at The Old England Pub

A gig held at The Old England Pub on Sunday 16th August. The event starts at 20:15.

A-Sides 2 B-Sides Promotion presents a night of emo, math rock and psych post-punk, coheadlined by Crewe’s Sativa, and Bristol legends, Parkii.

Parkii

Heavy math rock vibes with some emo thrown in for good measure, Parkii are repping the skatepark scene in sweaty basement shows. The band met organically in Chippenham when they heard each other playing instruments over their garden fences (James Threlfall, BBC). Influenced by old racing games, Wills’ breakups and the whiny emo music of the 2000’s; the trio are hard, fast and shouty as hell.

Sativa

Sativa hail from a surprisingly-active emo scene in Crewe. They were handed support slots all across the country off the back of their debut record “Sailor Mouth”, featuring massive walls of noise-rock guitars, and frenetic Zach Hill-esque drums, they describe it as “music to stim to”. This show is the last night of the tour to promote their new EP made up of new recordings of old songs with their new drummer. Catch Tom, Tom and Ed while they’re passing through town! FFO: Hella, University, black midi.

Yo Hablo

Yo Hablo — a Bristol-based five-piece fusing country, punk, psychedelia and disco. Think the gothic rock of The Gun Club meets the fiery blues of The Amazing Snakeheads with a smattering of dancefloor beats.
