Awassa Soundsystem is heading down to the Old England for an evening of heavy roots and dub. This will be Bristol’s first chance to hear the system in full effect: a custom built 360° midtop and kick section sitting on top of a pair of full size scoops. Awassa sits at the nexus between the worlds of reggae soundsystem, DIY audio, and niche home hifi. Inspired just as much by high-end speaker companies as renegade Jamaican speaker stacks. The omnidirectional (aka 360°) sound that radiates out from it fills spaces with musical vibrations in a way that few, if any, other rigs can replicate.
