"More DIY delights at the Old E - nature is healing! Portrait Of’s sinuous experimental symphonies teeter at the mid-point of jagged post-punk and noodling indie rock, threatening total collapse but always perfectly controlled. Top tier local support from noise rock trio Grubbing (fka Big Pigeon) and psych-blues balladeers Dogs Don’t Die."

Alpaca Presents
Portrait Of
+ Grubbing (Big Pigeon), Dogs Dont Die
•———•———•———•
Formed in early 2020, Portrait Of developed their sound and style during a very strange era indeed. With an eclectic range of influences, from the 90’s underground scene, to modern post-punk bands such as Deerhunter and Ought, to Talking Heads, Portrait Of deliver a unique mix of angular melodies and hazy sonic textures – at times spooky, other times propulsive, always somewhere odd.

DOGS DONT DIE is a four way collective fronted by singer songwriter Thom, with multi-instrumentalists Fin and Alex on bass and guitar, backed by the spine of the band, Gus on drums.
By blending the sonic sounds of jazz and psychedelic rock DOGS DON’T DIE explore existential themes of love and individualism with a soulful yet moody, melancholic tone.
