Fumata / SODEN / Malefic Grip at The Old England Pub

A gig held at The Old England Pub on Thursday 6th June. The event starts at 19:30.

All the way from the Mexican heavy scene, Fumata will be closing their European tour with 3 UK dates starting from Bristol on the 6th of June along with horror instrumentalists SODEN and local doomsters Malefic Grip.

Fumata:
Mexican Sludge supergroup with former members of legendary bands of the mexican heavy scene including: Apocalipsis, Vinnum Sabbathi, Terror Cosmico and El Ahorcado. This band ticks all the boxes and combine every disctinctive element from each band: obscured guitar melodies from Javi (Terror Cosmico); dense and heavy low-tuned riffs from Juan (Vinnum Sabbathi); non-stop ferocious drumming by Mico (Apocalipsis) and of course the human-misery-inspired doomiest lyrics by Mateo (El Ahorcado). They will be ending their European tour around those dates. So come and join the cause, they have never ever played in Bristol, and no better place for a debut than the good Old E.

SODEN
Horror-inspired instrumental Doom/sludge. Power trio from the West Midlands with a characteristic mind-thrilling fuzzy sound. They can easily drive you into oneirophrenia or sleep paralysis. Their album Led by Foxes was released back in 2017 and haven't been in Bristol since then. Really keen to see what they are up to these days.

The Malefic Grip
Classic doom, heavy sludgy riffs. Although they are a relatively recent band in the Bristolian scene, Hel and company definitely know how to riff along. They are one of the few bands that will still sound heavy (even if they use single coils!)
