SNEERS. is a music project started in Berlin in late 2012 by songwriter/guitarist M.G. Blaankart and drummer Leonardo O. Stefenelli.

They released two records (LPs), “For Our Soul-Uplifting Lights To Shine As Fires” (2014) and “With Flames Like Hope To Mortals Given" (2016) and both were followed by long tours in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic.

They recorded their 3rd LP in Berlin in January/ February 2018, with the studio collaboration of Kristof Hahn (Swans) at the lap-steel guitar, and they are presenting this new work live, which is gonna be released by Manchester based label God Unknown Records (Mugstar, Xylorious White, Oneida, White Hills, Gnod, Minami Deutsch) on September 21st.

Their sparse sound brings to mind at once the crushing stripped-back approach of early Swans & no-wave/noise punk scene. This is punctuated with dread-laden licks covered in chorus pedal, bringing to mind the best of 80s Goth guitar music.

RIYL: Father Murphy, Swans, Bauhaus

The Cardboard Prince, pioneer of Tupperwave and possibly the funniest lad in 'noise music'.

Like Consumer Electronics, if they were SUPPOSED to be funny. Neil Hamburger via Merzbow, or something.

Trigger Warning: it might get funky.
